True Love

If we read John 15:13 Bible says Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friend.

That is the love of Jesus. He has loved us with an everlasting love. If we read Rom 5:6, 8 " When we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. In 8th verse- But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were still sinners , Christ died for us.

Bible clearly says that Christ died for sinners. He loved us to that extent that He left His heavenly glory & came down in the form of man. He suffered like a human being. He tasted all the agony, worries, hatred everything in which mankind is today. Not only that He shed his precious blood on Calvary's Cross. He paid the price of our sins. He took all our sins on His body & died on behalf of us. Think about it. How great is the love of Jesus.

If we read David & Jonathan's story. We all know how much David & Jonathan loved each other. Jonathan was a prince & future heir of the throne, but when he knew that God wanted to give the kingdom into the hands of David. And because he loved David so much that's why he was ready to leave the position of king. 1sam 18:1 Bible says and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. 1sam 20:17 says the same thing. If we read 1sam 18:3-4 - Then Jonathan & David made a covenant because he loved him as his soul. And Jonathan took off the robe that was on him & gave it to David , with his armor even his sword & his bow & his belt.

He gave everything even his robe to David & left the position of future king. And if we read 1sam 23:16,17--Then Jonathan Saul's son arose & went to David in the woods & strengthened his hand in God. And he said to him, do not fear for the hand of Saul my father shall not find you. You shall be king over Israel & I shall be next to you.

That was the love of Jonathan for David. The true love which is ready to give everything. In the same way God loved us. He loved us so much that He gave away everything even His only begotten son Jesus. John 3:16-For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I saw many people who are living in tears. No joy in their lives. Life became a burden. Why? because Jesus is not in their heart.

My dear friends Jesus came to give us that life. Eternal life which will never end. The Joy & Peace which will never end. I got that Joy & Peace on 3rd Nov 1981. The bubbling Joy which is still bubbling in my soul even after 17 years. Before I came to the Lord in my earlier days I used to pray, but I felt that nobody is on the other end to hear. Once I did not do will in my final exams & I prayed & prayed for nearly 2 months till results came out. I prayed to the Lord that some how I may get passing marks, but every time I realized that nobody is there to hear my prayers.

But when Jesus came into my life everything changed. Whenever I pray & ask something I get reply immediately. That is the difference when Jesus lives in us.

Rev 3:20 Lord Jesus said, behold I stand at the door & knock. If anyone hears my voice & opens the door. I will come into him & dine with him & he with me.

My dear friends what about you? Lord Jesus is standing at your hearts door and knocking. Are you willing to open your heart for the Lord to come in, if you will do it great joy will come & fill your soul & it will bubble all through your life. And when this journey will end we will get final reward i.e. a place in heaven. Rev 3:21-Lord Jesus said to him who overcomes I will grant to sit with me on my throne, as I also overcame & sat down with my father on His throne.

Let us pray--

Loving heavenly father I praise you for all your promises. Today I open my heart for you. Today I submit myself in your hand. Come & live in me. And bless me in every way. And when I'll finish my worldly journey keep me with you in heaven. I ask in Jesus name Amen.
